AgentPrinter vs PostGrid
The short answer. Pick AgentPrinter to mail one letter, or a few, with no account: no sign-up, no API key and no monthly fee. A 1-page letter is $1.99, paid by card through a link.
Pick PostGrid when you send mail often from your own software. On its free Starter plan a 1-page black and white letter is $1.059, which is $0.93 less than ours, and PostGrid sells things we do not: Certified Mail, checks, larger postcards, Standard Class and mail in Canada.
PostGrid is a print and mail API for letters, postcards and checks, with a free Starter plan and an Enterprise plan by quote. AgentPrinter mails a letter or a postcard to a US address for one card payment, with no account: you send the document and the address, see the exact preview and the price, and pay through a link.

When PostGrid is the better choice
- You send mail every week and can keep an API key secret. PostGrid's price for a 1-page letter is about half of ours, and for a 4×6 postcard about 60%.
- You need Certified Mail, checks, 6×9 or 6×11 postcards, Standard Class for marketing mail, or mail in Canada.
- You send more than a few pieces an hour, or you reuse templates.
- You need what its Enterprise plan lists, such as HIPAA compliant mailings and more than one user.
When AgentPrinter is the better choice
- You need to mail one letter today and you have no account with anyone.
- An AI agent or a script does the sending, and you do not want to give it an API key or a stored card. It gets a pay link, and a person pays.
- You want to see the exact PDF and the price before you pay.
- You send so little mail that an account and a key are not worth setting up.
Worth knowing
- Both prices include printing and postage. PostGrid's price is the lower one for a 1-page letter and for a 4×6 postcard, and an extra page costs the same at both. Ours has no account behind it.
- AgentPrinter is not a PostGrid product and has no connection with PostGrid.
