Privacy Policy
AgentPrinter is operated by SBD Co (“SBD Co,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the AgentPrinter API, website at agentprinter.app, or SMS channel (together, the “Service”), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Questions: legal@sbdco.biz.
The short version: we collect what we need to print and mail your piece, take payment, and keep the Service running. We delete the document you send as soon as it’s submitted for printing, cancelled, or expired, and in any case about 24 hours after you create the job. We don’t sell personal information, and we never share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in data for marketing.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide when sending mail
- Document content — the text, PDF, or PDF URL you submit, and the rendered mailpiece.
- Recipient and return addresses — names and postal addresses you provide, plus the standardized address returned by address verification.
- Job options — mail type, color, font, layout, and an optional webhook URL for status updates.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. We keep Stripe identifiers (checkout session and payment intent IDs), the amount, and the payment and refund status for each job.
SMS information
If you use the SMS channel, we collect your mobile number, the messages you send us (including recipient details and postcard text you enter), your opt-in and opt-out status and timestamps, and the jobs you created by text.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data — IP address and user agent on API requests and job creation, used for rate limiting, fraud and abuse prevention, and support.
- Website analytics — we use Fathom Analytics (a cookieless, privacy-focused tool) and PostHog to understand page views and product usage. PostHog may set a cookie or local-storage identifier in your browser.
- Logs and error reports — server logs and error reports (via Honeybadger) that may include job IDs, request metadata, and IP addresses.
2. How we use information
- To render, verify addresses for, print, and mail your mailpiece, and to send status updates by webhook, status page, or SMS.
- To process payments, refunds, and cancellations.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and misuse, and to enforce our Terms of Service.
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
- To respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use the content of your documents for advertising, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.
3. How we share information
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, as needed for their role, or when the law requires it:
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Lob | Address verification, printing, and mailing | Rendered document, recipient and return addresses |
| Stripe | Payment processing and refunds | Payment details, amount, job reference |
| Telnyx | Sending and receiving SMS | Mobile number, message content |
| Hosting and database providers | Running the Service and storing job records | All data described in this policy |
| Fathom, PostHog | Website and product analytics | Usage data, IP address, browser identifiers |
| Honeybadger, logging providers | Error monitoring and operational logs | Request metadata, job IDs, IP addresses |
If you give us a webhook URL, we send job status events to that URL. We may also disclose information to comply with law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or property of SBD Co, our users, or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
SMS privacy: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We share mobile numbers and message content only with our SMS provider (Telnyx), and only to deliver the messages you request.
4. Retention
- Documents — the rendered document is deleted from our database as soon as the job is submitted for printing, cancelled, or expires. Any document still stored is removed by an hourly sweep once it is 24 hours old, so no later than about 25 hours after job creation. Deleted data can remain in database backups until those backups rotate out. Lob keeps its copy of a submitted mailpiece under its own retention policies.
- Job records — addresses, options, status, payment identifiers, IP address, and user agent are kept as business records for as long as we need them for fulfillment, support, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
- SMS data — your opt-in status and job history are kept while you use the SMS channel. A postcard you start but don’t finish by text (recipient and message) is discarded after 24 hours of inactivity. Message-processing records are deleted automatically after 7 to 30 days.
- Rate-limit counters are short-lived and expire automatically.
5. Recipients of mail
If you received mail sent through AgentPrinter, the sender supplied your name and address. We use them only to verify the address and deliver that mailpiece. To ask about or request deletion of your information, email legal@sbdco.biz with the job ID printed on the mailpiece, if any.
6. Your choices and rights
- SMS — reply STOP at any time to opt out and HELP for help.
- Access and deletion — you may ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing legal@sbdco.biz. We may need to verify your request, for example with the job ID. We may keep some information where the law requires it or where we need it for legitimate purposes such as fraud prevention or accounting.
- Analytics — you can block or clear cookies and local storage in your browser. Browser privacy tools that block analytics will not affect your ability to use the Service.
Depending on where you live (for example California, or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights under local law, such as rights to know, delete, correct, or port your data, or to object to processing. We will honor those rights as the law requires, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, restricted access, signed webhooks, and short document retention. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. To use the Service you must be at least 18 or the age of majority where you live.
9. International users
The Service is operated in the United States and mails only to U.S. addresses. If you access it from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date. If the changes are material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
